Start with the Member Portal
Crunch says: "Some clubs offer online cancellation through your Member Portal under Manage Membership." Log in at members.crunch.com and check. If your club offers it, that is the fastest route. Save the confirmation.
Otherwise: your home club
Crunch's FAQ says to "contact your club directly by phone or in person". Club numbers are on Crunch's locations page. If you cancel by phone, ask for the confirmation by email.
Cancelling by letter
Crunch's own pages do not describe cancelling by mail; they point you to your Membership Agreement. Many franchise agreements accept written notice to the home club, and many state laws require gyms to accept written notice. Check your agreement first.
Crunch warns that if you say you cancelled and your membership was not ended, "you will be asked to provide proof of the initial request". A letter sent by Certified Mail with a return receipt is that proof.
Notice, the annual fee and refunds
Crunch says the notice required before your next billing date "may vary based on the terms of your Membership Agreement".
The annual fee varies by home club, up to $89. At Crunch Signature clubs it is first charged about three months after you join, then yearly on that date.
Not using the gym does not cancel it, and changing the card on file does not stop charges: Crunch says unpaid balances can go to collections.
