Four ways to give notice

Life Time's policy says: "You may provide notice of termination in person at the center; by mail to your Life Time center; online; or as otherwise permitted by Life Time or the State Law Provisions of your General Terms Agreement".

  • Online: my.lifetime.life, Account, View Account, Membership, Modify Membership.
  • In person at your center.
  • By mail to your Life Time center.
  • By email to [email protected]. Life Time replies with the steps needed to finalize, and the request is not complete until you do them.

Only the primary member (or an authorized partner member) can cancel the whole membership.

Notice and billing

Life Time requires advance notice under your General Terms Agreement; if you do not give it in time, dues continue. Its public pages do not state the length; secondary sources say 30 days' written notice.

Dues are billed on the 1st of the month, so a cancellation sent mid-month usually means at least one more draft. Life Time uses no long-term contracts, and new members have a 7-day money-back right.

A hold is not a cancellation

Life Time may offer to suspend your club access or switch you to a digital membership instead. That keeps billing (for example $15 a month) and does not end the membership.

Minnesota and Connecticut members have extra rights under state law; Minnesota members can also cancel by phone.

A free letter you can use

We wrote a plain, polite Life Time cancellation letter template. Copy it, fill in your details, and send it yourself by Certified Mail with a return receipt. Or sign it on your phone and let us print and mail it for you, with tracking and a proof pack.
